The 2 and 3 trains not running between Brooklyn and Manhattan on weekends has become as socially accepted and internalized as the B and Z trains not running on weekends at all. Hopefully, New Yorkers will be able to somehow adjust as easily when the L train shuts down, although it’s not likely. This weekend’s service changes hit especially hard in lower Manhattan, where the A, C, E, and 6 trains will all be skipping a number of express stops. Perhaps make weekend plans off a stop which will be serviced, so as to avoid certain misery and commuting woes.

Van Cortland Park-bound 1 trains skip 207, 215, 225, 331 and 238 Sts.

New Lots Av-bound 4 trains skip 33, 28, 23 Sts, Astor Pl, Bleecker, Spring and Canal Sts. Woodlawn-bound trains skip 161, 167, 170 St, Mt Eden Av and 176 St with service operating every 15 minutes between 125 St and Woodlawn.

Brooklyn Bridge-bound 6 trains skip 33, 28, 23 Sts, Astor Pl, Bleecker, Spring and Canal Sts.

Inwood-bound A trains skip Spring, 23, 50, 72, 81, 86, 96, 103, 110, 116, 135, 155 and 163 Sts. Ozone Park/Far Rockaway-bound trains make local stops at 50, 23 and Spring Sts.

168 St-bound C trains skip Spring, 23, 50, 72, 81, 86, 96, 103, 110, 116, 135, 155 and 163 Sts.

Jamaica Center-bound E trains skip Spring St and 23 St.

Norwood-bound D trains skip 25 St, Prospect Av, 4 Av-9 St, Union St, 170 St, and 174-175 Sts.

Jamaica-bound F trains skip 14 St and 23 St.

M service ends early between 71 Av and Essex St, with no trains between Essex St and Broadway Junction or between Myrtle-Wyckoff Av and Myrtle Av (Broadway). Shuttle trains run every 20 minutes between Metropolitan Av and Myrtle-Wyckoff Avs.

Coney Island-bound N trains run via the R from Canal St to Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr and skip Broadway and 39 Av. Astoria-bound trains run express from 59 St, Brooklyn to Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr.

Coney Island-bound Q trains run via the R from Canal St to DeKalb Av.

Manhattan-bound R trains run express from 59 St, Brooklyn to Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr, stopping at 36 St and skipping 53, 45, 25 Sts, Prospect Av, 4 Av-9 St and Union St.

Whitehall St-bound W trains skip Broadway and 39 Av.

Broad St-bound J trains skip Flushing Av, Lorimer St and Hewes St.

Per the whims of the MTA, there will probably be other problems, and the problems stated above are subject to change and worsen.
