Self-watering, transparent ‘Cube’ planter is perfect for bad plant parents
As busy New Yorkers, we always welcome new products that help fill our interiors with lovely greenery while also making it easier for us to care for our leafy friends. Boskke, a design company known for their innovative planting products, recently introduced to the market Cube, a self-watering plastic planter that’s perfect for the plant-loving urbanite. Not only is this compact pot self-watering, it’s also fully transparent, integrating the look of earthy soil into your home decor.
The planter is also super easy to use: all you have to do is plant your green buddy and then fill the tank with water via a small hole located at the top. The self-watering functionality is made possible through the company’s signature “Slo Flo” passive irrigation system that utilizes a terra cotta disk placed at the bottom of the plant. The special disk slowly wicks moisture upwards towards the plant’s roots keeping it watered and healthy 24/7. A full tank of water is estimated to last up to three weeks when placed in moderate temperature.
The planter comes in single and triple units, and the clear plastic cube puts the soil, water and the plant’s roots on display.
