The votes have been counted. 6sqft’s 2024 Building of the Year is One Williamsburg Wharf, one of five 22-story luxury residential towers coming to the Williamsburg waterfront. The Naftali Group-developed building easily nabbed first place, receiving 302 votes out of the total 1,294 votes cast. Designed by Brandon Haw Architecture, One Williamsburg Wharf offers 89 modern condos and a collection of amenities, including a waterfront park and a rooftop pool deck.
First unveiled this past spring as an “urban resort-style” development, Williamsburg Wharf will bring one million square feet of residential, commercial, and retail space, as well as a new park, to a section of the Brooklyn waterfront north of the Navy Yard. Upon completion, the project will add 850 new condos and rentals.
Sales launched at One Williamsburg Wharf in September; current availability starts at $715,000 for a studio, according to CityRealty. Earlier this month, a penthouse went into contract for $7.2 million, a new record for a sponsor sale in the neighborhood if it closes at that price.
Designed by Brandon Haw Architecture, the residences feature warm wood cabinetry, floor-to-ceiling windows, spacious open floorplans, white oak flooring, and custom kitchens.
Exclusive amenities for One Williamsburg Wharf residents include a library, movie theater, private dining, catering kitchen, co-working lounges, a children’s playroom, a terrace with firepits and barbecue grills, bike storage, and parking.
A collection of shared amenities, dubbed the Williamsburg Wharf Resort & Recreation Club, includes a rooftop pool deck that can turn into an ice rink in the winter, an indoor-outdoor fitness center, a basketball court, a game room, a pet spa, and laundry room.
