Applications are now being accepted for 77 mixed-income units at a new development in Brooklyn. Located at 269 Wallabout Street in East Williamsburg, the eight-story mixed-use building contains 58 modern apartments. New Yorkers earning 40, 60, and 115 percent of the area median income, or between $29,760 for a single person and $202,515 for a household of nine people, can apply for the apartments, priced from $770/month one-bedroom units to $3,250/month four-bedrooms.
Developed by the Rabsky Group and designed by Fischer & Makooi Architects, the building’s amenities include a shared laundry room, bike storage lockers, and an enclosed parking garage with 128 spaces.
Units are equipped with an in-unit washer and dryer, state-of-the-art kitchen appliances, high-end countertops and finishes, and a patio or balcony.
The nearest transit options include the M and J trains at Lorimer Street and the G train at Flushing Avenue. The B48 and B57 buses are also located nearby.
Qualifying New Yorkers can apply for the affordable units until January 9, 2023. Preference for 50 percent of the units will be given to residents of Brooklyn Community District 1. Complete details on how to apply are available here. Questions regarding this offer must be referred to NYC’s Housing Connect department by dialing 311.
If you don’t qualify for the housing lotteries mentioned, visit CityRealty.com’s no-fee rentals page for other apartment deals in the city.
