Arckit’s new modeling sets make it easy to build professional models without cutting or gluing
Arckit, an architectural model kit manufacturer, has recently added to its family of offerings a series of playful yet professional three-dimensional modeling sets designed to satisfy the needs of building professionals, as well as aspiring designers. Traditional methods of model building include “cut and glue” techniques or 3D drawings, but these kits, called Arckit Cityscape and Arckit Masterplan, provide the same tactile experience with no special skills required.
The kits are all-inclusive and can accommodate everything from city parks and piazzas to suburban neighborhoods and downtown skyscrapers. They’re all completely modular including interchangeable parts that allow users to quickly experiment with different layouts. Most notable about the functionality is the speed–projects that would normally require days and weeks can now be completed in hours or minutes. Additionally, they’re far less expensive than traditional models and easily allow for modifications.
Of the two, Masterplan Pro was created with the professional in mind and includes 1,000+ components.
The Arckit Cityscape was designed specifically for the budding designer and includes a variety of unique kits and components. The pieces come in both white and pastel colors and function similarly to other building toys.
The company recently launched a Kickstarter Campaign in order to cover the kits’ manufacturing costs. The campaign provides backers with early access to the 12 new kits with special “early bird” discounts. Learn more about the Arckit’s Kickstarter Campaign here.
