The team behind New York City icon Delmonico’s is opening a new restaurant in Noho. Fine-dining Italian restaurant Tucci, named after one of the original owners of Delmonico’s, will offer contemporary Italian cuisine inspired by dishes found in northern and southern Italy from Chef Edward Hong. Located at 643 Broadway, Tucci officially opens on Friday, March 15.

The restaurant’s menu features modern variations of classic Italian dishes like baked clams, osso buco ravioli, poached dover sole, chicken parmesan, and more. Tucci will also be the only location besides the original Delmonico’s in the Financial District to offer their signature Eye of Delmonico steak.

Tucci will be managed by Delmonico’s Restaurant Group (DRG) Hospitality partners Dennis Turcinovic, Joseph Licul, and Max Tucci, whose family ran Delmonico’s from the early 1900s through the 1990s, and Dream Hospitality Group.

Delmonico’s in September reopened at its original location at 56 Beaver Street in the Financial District after shuttering during the early days of the pandemic in 2020.

Considered one of the country’s first fine dining establishments when it opened in 1837, the restaurant is highly regarded for its steak, for being the birthplace of dishes like eggs benedict, and for its historical significance as the first eatery to serve women who were unaccompanied by men, as 6sqft previously reported

“As with Delmonico’s, Tucci is a gathering place and destination to enjoy creative interpretations of traditional dishes with rich histories but in a more intimate space,” Turcinovic said. “The restaurant is designed to create a warm, welcoming experience making it the perfect setting for an intimate dinner, a gathering with friends, or a special celebration.”

The elegant multi-level space can seat up to 30 guests in its upstairs dining room and another 30 guests on its lower level which turns into a sleek cocktail lounge from 11 p.m. through 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Tucci will be open for dinner daily from 5 p.m. through 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 5 p.m. to 12 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
