Doris Roberts’ former Central Park South duplex sells for $4M

Back in 2017, 6sqft reported that the duplex co-op at 200 Central Park South owned by the late Emmy-winning actress Doris Roberts (you probably know her best as Marie Barone from “Everybody Loves Raymond”) had been listed for $3.3 million. Now the New York Post reports that the two-bedroom duplex has sold for $4 million. The sale included the two apartments owned by Roberts’ estate, plus an adjacent one-bedroom. The buyer, a Broadway producer, plans to combine the apartments into one big duplex within walking distance to the theater district.

The apartment is light-filled with breathtaking Central Park views. Private terraces offer outdoor living on each level. The terraces get a view of Times Square–the perfect seat for the annual Thanksgiving Day Parade and the New Years Eve celebration.

In addition to the terrace, the open living/dining area is perfect for entertaining with a built-in banquet, bar area with wine refrigerator and kitchen with built-in seating and plenty of cabinet space. Also on this level is a separate butler’s pantry.

Up a curved staircase, the 12th floor offers a spacious master bedroom suite and a large guest bedroom, with access to another terrace. Both bedrooms have a marble bath  and ample closet space.

The building is recognizable for its curving corner, bands of balconies, and location at the corner of Central Park South and Seventh Avenue. It offers residents a 24-hour doorman, a laundry room, a gym, an on-site garage with valet service, and a rooftop observatory with park views.
