Ever since Instagram made popular Midtown bar 230 Fifth’s rooftop “igloos” an international sensation, other drinking and dining establishments have been hopping on the dome train, too. The latest comes from Dumbo’s Time Out Market food hall, where guests can enjoy a special wintery cocktail menu in an enclosed bubble overlooking the Manhattan Bridge and skyline. Called the Rooftop Iglounge, the three domes are available on a first-come basis and can each accommodate eight guests.

Time Out Market opened this past spring at Dumbo’s waterfront Empire Stores complex. The food hall from magazine Time Out New York is 21,000 square feet over two floors and has 24 food vendors, 520 indoor and outdoor seats, three bars, a performance stage, and of course, the fifth-floor rooftop area.

Rooftop Iglounge will stay open until the spring. There are no reservations or entrance fees, but private groups can inquire about booking. The special rooftop cocktail menu includes:

  • Snow White Tini: vanilla vodka, white chocolate liqueur, white creme de cacao, half-and-half, and raspberry powder dust
  • Black Velvet: coffee liqueur, cherry liqueur, Fernet Branca, orange bitters, cola, and a maraschino cherry garnish
  • The Hot TOM Toddy: apple cider, mulled syrup, bourbon, lemon juice, and a butter and nutmeg garnish

Each igloo is outfitted with fluffy blankets, fake-fur covered chairs, and twinkling lights.
