Equinox has officially opened the doors to its 100th fitness club at 35 Hudson Yards, just ahead of the very first Equinox Hotel opening next month. The 60,000-square-foot location— Equinox’s largest new built yet—stretches over two floors and includes a 15,000-square-foot pool and sundeck set against the backdrop of Hudson Yards’ signature landmark, the Vessel.

The Vessel won’t just provide stellar views during your next workout, it’s unique stepped structure will actually be used as part of Equinox’s fitness classes. Classes at the Vessel will include a cardio and agility challenge spanning one vertical mile and covering 2,500 steps, body-weight training stops at its landings, and what is described as “a unique Hudson Yards experience class” that makes use of the entire structure and involves a grueling sprint to the top.

Opening this fall, a spa will bring an infrared sauna, cryotherapy, and a wide range of massage and bodywork treatments. There will be a Juice Press and a Broken Coconut as part of the club’s outdoor terrace.

As 6sqft previously reported, Equinox has partnered with Industrious to bring “thoughtfully-designed, hospitality-driven” co-working spaces to some of its clubs, beginning with 35 Hudson Yards. According to Industrious’ website, the Hudson Yards location—which will take over the building’s eighth and ninth floors—will have “a dedicated hospitality team,” networking events, “a vibrant common area,” and member access to the fitness club.

35 Hudson Yards is a 1,000-foot-tall tower (the tallest in Hudson Yards) designed by David Childs and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. It boasts 143 condominium units on its upper floors. Those who purchase condos, which start at $5 million, will receive a two-year Equinox membership.

The Equinox Hotel will offer 212 guest rooms on floors 24 through 38 of the tower. Reservations opened at the end of March, and the Hotel officially opens on July 15th. As 6sqft previously reported, the hotel rooms, starting at $700 a night, “are designed to promote better sleep, featuring soundproofed walls, blackout shades, and a thermostat set to 66 degrees.” Hotel guests will have 24/7 access to the Equinox fitness center, whereas club members can use the facilities from 5:30am to 10pm.
