Two years after putting her Hamptons home on the market for $3.8 million, actress Ellen Pompeo has sold the property for $2,995,000. The “Grey’s Anatomy” star bought the eight-acre site for $950,000 in 2011, and in 2013, had the current modern-farmhouse constructed, which she then designed herself. In addition to its gorgeous decor, the residence boasts beautifully manicured lawns and a heated, Gunite pool.
The 2,400-square-foot house has four bathrooms and five bedrooms, one of which currently doubles as a media room/bar on the lower level. This sleek space has paneled walls and tons of built-ins and comes with its own bathroom and two means of egress.
There’s a bedroom suite on the first floor that has a full bath, private living space, and master bedroom with a separate staircase leading to a connected guest room. Upstairs, another master suite also has a full bath and private living space, as well as another adjoining room that could be used as another bedroom or office.
On the main floor, you’ll find a lovely kitchen, dining area, and a living room with double-height ceilings and a working fireplace.
Past the living room is a screened- and glassed-in porch that’s currently configured as another living/dining area and has its own fireplace. Through here, you can reach the tranquil pool and backyard. According to the listing, there is plenty of room on the property to add a tennis court.
The home at 1645 Millstone Road was listed with the Corcoran Group; Martha Gundersen of Douglas Elliman brought the buyer. Gundersen told Mansion Global that the buyers, a family based in NYC, loved Pompeo’s design so much that they bought it with “the entire contents, including furnishings, pillows, kitchen contents, art work and even an iPad!”
