Kate Moss and Johnny Depp’s one-time Greenwich Village home sells for $12M

The nearly 200-year-old Greenwich Village townhouse that Kate Moss and Johnny Depp called home in the 1990s has found a buyer. After listing for $15,000,000 last May, the Federal-style property at 112 Waverly Place, which measures 6,300 square feet and includes a triplex carriage house, sold last week for $12,005,000.

The home was built in 1826 and was later renovated in the early 1900s with a red brick facade. The most recent configuration of the 22-foot-wide home included four separate rentals, each with outdoor space and wood-burning fireplaces, according to the listing.

During their romantic relationship from 1994 to 1998, Moss and Depp lived inside the home’s unique 1,800-square-foot carriage house. As 6sqft previously reported, the space boasts a dramatic skylight, 17-foot beamed ceilings, and exposed brick.

The rest of the property includes a garden-level duplex with a bedroom facing a private terrace, a second-floor apartment with two bedrooms and a spacious living area, and a penthouse on the top two floors with rooftop access.

In addition to being a so-called “love nest” for Depp and Moss 30 years ago, the home was also once owned by Lorraine Hansberry, the trailblazing writer of “A Raisin in the Sun.”

The townhouse was last listed in 2016 for just under $14,000,000, but never sold. It later hit the rental market for $16,000/month in 2021.
