With the highly anticipated fourth season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel set to hit Amazon Prime Video this Friday, New York City’s iconic Plaza Hotel is giving fans of the show the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of Midge Maisel. The Plaza has recreated Midge’s aesthetic within a one-bedroom suite, furnished with antiques and accouterments straight from the 1950s and 60s. As part of the event, The Palm Court at The Plaza has created the “Midge Menu,” which reimagines the three-tiered afternoon tea tradition and includes NYC classics like pastrami sandwiches on rye, black and white cookies reimagined as macarons, and Nutella babka cheesecake.
From the moment guests step into the themed suite, they will be transported back in time to the 1960s, with a mid-century seating area, parlor room, vintage TV, bar cart, and furniture inspired by Midge’s Upper West Side apartment.
Also included with the booking of the suite is a chance to taste the Midge Menu, get a Midge Maisel-inspired hairstyling on behalf of the Warren Tricomi Salon, and access to an exclusive Midge closet courtesy of The Plaza Boutique.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Suite can hold two guests, with rates starting at $1,675 per night. Reservations can be made from now until April 10. More information on the suites and booking can be found here.
Created by The Plaza Hotel’s executive pastry chef Matthew Lambie, the Midge Menu reimagines the Hotel’s tradition of afternoon tea, synonymous with The Plaza. Other food items included in the menu include beet-infused deviled eggs, lekach-inspired honey spiced cake, and a yuzu & lemon meringue pie.
Additionally, hotel guests and afternoon tea participants will have the opportunity to view a selection of costumes and props featured in the show’s fourth season.
The Midge Menu will be served at The Palm Court at The Plaza now until March 13 for $99 a person. Reservations are required and can be booked by calling 212-546-5300 or emailing [email protected].
