Lottery launches for 258 rentals at TF Cornerstone’s West 57th tower, from $613/month
The lottery for TF Cornerstone’s massive building at 606 West 57th Street officially launched on Tuesday, offering 258 mixed-income rentals in the brand new 42-story tower. Designed by Arquitectonica, the rental, dubbed 606W57, boasts a unique, boxy design and will hold over 1,000 apartments. It sits near other West Side architectural standouts like the pyramid-shaped, Bjarke Ingels-designed Via57 West, as well as the Helena. Qualifying New Yorkers earning 40, 60 and 120 percent of the area median income can apply for units ranging from a $613/month studio to a $2,902/month three-bedroom.
The tower topped out in November and TF Cornerstone released a teaser website ahead of its spring rental launch. According to the website, there will be studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments.
Located on the Upper West Side and Hell’s Kitchen border, 606W57 will span an entire block and include nearly 30,000 square feet of retail space. Renderings show that a single tenant might claim the entire space, or it could possibly be divvied up by four smaller tenants.
The “unmatched” amenities include a 400-car parking garage, bike parking, a screening room, a clubhouse, pet spa and an indoor basketball court. As TFC’s website says, “Be a part of the new westside skyline with sweeping city and Hudson River views.”
Qualifying New Yorkers can apply for the middle-income units at the 606W57 until April 10, 2018. Residents of Manhattan Community Board 4 will be given preference for 50 percent of the units. Complete details on how to apply are available here (pdf). Questions regarding this offer must be referred to NYC’s Housing Connect department by dialing 311.
