Developed by Omni New York and designed by ESKW/Architects, the 420,000-square-foot Archer Green consists of two towers, one at 23 stories tall and the other at 20 stories, and contains a total of 389 apartments. The project features a state-of-the-art sustainable power system, with an on-site power hub that collects and stores power for emergency use.
Amenities include in-unit dishwashers and air conditioning and access to a laundry room, fitness center, a children’s playroom, a landscaped outdoor deck, a community lounge and co-working space, and 100 covered parking spaces.
Archer Green, which broke ground in 2018, falls under the city’s Jamaica NOW Action Plan, a revitalization plan introduced by Mayor Bill de Blasio in February 2015 as a way to promote economic and commercial growth and create more housing in the neighborhood.
The development is located in the commercial and transit hub of Downtown Jamaica, with a number of retail stores, restaurants, gyms, and salons, and more nearby. The E, J, and Z trains run from Jamaica Center- Parsons/Archer subway station and the E and F trains from 169th Street station at Hillside Avenue.
Qualifying New Yorkers can apply for the affordable units until April 14, 2021. Preference for 50 percent of the units will be given to residents of Queens Community Board 12.
