Flying out of LaGuardia Airport just got sweeter. New York City icon Magnolia Bakery will open at Delta’s Terminal C this week, marking the shop’s first airport location. Starting Thursday, the bakery will sell its world-famous banana pudding as well as other tasty treats as part of a new food hall in the terminal.
In addition to its legendary banana pudding, the new Magnolia Bakery outpost will offer cupcakes, banana pudding cupcakes, brownies, bars, cheesecake, cake slices, and more to enjoy during the flight or to take to your next destination.
The new Terminal C food hall is located near gates 60 through 69 and is run in partnership with OTG, which develops and operates restaurants and retail stores in airports across the country. Other vendors at the food hall include King David Taco, Taim, Artichoke, Trinity Burger, Eggsactly, Brooklyn Bagel, and Kombu.
The $4 billion Terminal C officially opened in 2022 with the latest technology, new public artwork from local artists, and New York-centric concessions.
Magnolia was first established in the West Village in 1996, coming to prominence after its signature buttercream-frosted cupcakes were seen in an episode of “Sex and the City.” In 2018, the brand began a major expansion with a goal of opening up to 200 new locations in the United States over the course of five years, as 6sqft previously reported.
Magnolia has locations across Manhattan, including Hudson Yards, the Upper West Side, Columbus Circle, Rockefeller Center, Bleecker Street, Central Park South, Moynihan Train Hall, Grand Central Terminal, and Grand Central Madison.
