Get ready, New York sports fans. The Knicks and Rangers kick off their 2024 playoff runs this weekend. To build hype ahead of the round one games, the teams will host a free “playoff palooza” on Saturday with appearances from alumni from both teams, fun activations, face painting, a t-shirt press, photo ops, and more. The event, sponsored by Dunkin’, takes place on April 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Waterfront Plaza at Brookfield Place in Battery Park City.
The Knicks face off against the Philadelphia 76ers in game one on Saturday at 6 p.m. at Madison Square Garden. On Sunday, the Rangers will play the Washington Capitals at 3 p.m., also at MSG.
Knicks and Rangers alumni players expected to appear at the event include John Starks, Larry Johnson, Michael Del Zotto, Adam Graves, Dave Maloney, and others.
Fans can try their hand at a slap shot or vertical jump game, make their own t-shirts, get a glitter tattoo or face paint, and enter for the chance to win playoff tickets. Dunkin’ will offer tasty product samples, photo opportunities with the team’s mascots, immersive games, and giveaways.
Both teams will continue to host special events for fans throughout the playoffs, including game watch parties.
You can register for quick entry to the event here. Guests will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis, and pre-registration doesn’t guarantee entry.
