Oscar-winning filmmaker Oliver Stone pays $4M for Battery Park City condo with views for days
Award-winning screenwriter, film director, producer, and New York native Oliver Stone is moving to Battery Park City. As the New York Post learned, Stone is buying a 24th-floor condo at Riverhouse at 2 River Terrace, a building home to Leonardo DiCaprio and formerly, Tyra Banks (whose duplex hit the market last month for $17.5 million). The $4.35 million apartment boasts 1,982 square feet and floor-to-ceiling windows.
This three bedroom, four bath unit has beautiful views of the Statue of Liberty and the New York Harbor. With 55 feet of floor-to-ceiling windows and super high ceilings, the abundance of natural light makes the living space feel bright and spacious. The dining area and lounge overlook the water, setting the perfect scene for entertaining.
Each bedroom features lovely hardwood floors, private bathrooms and large windows that face south, letting residents wake up to the amazing waterfront views.
As part of the open layout, the elegant kitchen comes with a Thermador range and oven, Miele dishwasher and has great Corian countertops. Plus, adding to its functionality, not only does the kitchen have a Subzero refrigerator, but also has an Insinkerator garbage disposal and a Bosch washer/dryer.
Besides the waterfront views and Battery Park City location, the amenities offered are what draws the A-list celebrities to this building. Residents can enjoy a fitness center, a yoga studio, a 50-foot saltwater lap pool, pet spa, billiards room, a children’s playroom, and a second floor landscaped garden that overlooks the pretty Teardrop Park. Plus, the building offers a full-time doorman and a live-in super.
