Happy long weekend! The MTA has a host of service changes in store for Saturday and Sunday, but come Monday the subway will be mercifully operating on a weekday schedule with only “minor timing changes.” Still, though, the MTA advises customers to allow additional travel time, meaning service will predictably not be too stellar.

2 trains will not be running between E 180 St and Dyre Av. Free shuttle buses provide alternate service

2 and 3 trains will not be running between Brooklyn and Manhattan.

4 train service will be operating in two sections: between Woodlawn and 125 St and between 125 St and New Lots Av. Transfer at 125 St to continue your trip. Trains will be skipping 138 St-Grand Concourse and running local in both directions between 125 St and Brooklyn Bridge.

5 trains will not be running between 241 St and Grand Central-42 St. Service will operate between Grand Central-42 St and Flatbush Av. Trains will be running local in both directions between 125 St and Grand Central-42 St.

From 3:45am Saturday to 10pm Sunday, Hudson Yards-bound 7 trains will skip 69, 52, 46, 40 and 33 Sts.

A trains will be running local in both directions between 125 St and 59 St-Columbus Circle.

Jamaica Center-bound E trains will skip 75 Av and Briarwood. E trains will also run local in both directions between Queens Plaza and Roosevelt Av.

D train service will be rerouted in Manhattan and Brooklyn, with free shuttle buses providing alternate service. There will be no D train service at 7 Av, 47-50 Sts, 42 St-Bryant Pk, 34 St-Herald Sq, B’way-Lafayette St, and Grand St. D service will operate between 205 St and 59 St-Columbus Circle and via the A express to/from Jay St-Metro Tech and via the F to/from Stillwell Av.

F trains are rerouted via the Q express in Manhattan and replace the D in Brooklyn between Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr and Stillwell Av.

On Friday evening, M trains will operate between Broadway Junction and Essex St and via the J to/from Chambers St. Alternative shuttle service will operate between Metropolitan Av and Myrtle Wyckoff Avs. From Saturday AM to Sunday night there will be no M service at Broadway Junction, Halsey St, Gates Av, Kosciuszko St, Myrtle Av, Flushing Av, Lorimer St, Hewes St, Marcy Av and Essex St.

N trains will be running express via the R line from Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr to 49 St, Brooklyn. Astoria-bound trains will make local stops at 53, 45, 36, 25 Sts, Prospect Av, 4 Av-9 St and Union St and skip 39 Av and Broadway.

Bay Ridge-bound R trains will run express from Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr to 59 St in Brooklyn.

Astoria-bound W trains will skip 39 Av and Broadway.

There will be no J trains between Crescent St and Jamaica Center. Broad St-bound J trains will skip Flushing Av, Lorimer St and Hewes St.

Per the whims of the MTA, there will probably be other problems, and the problems stated above are subject to change and worsen.
