Six unique restaurants and bars will set up shop at Nordstrom’s flagship store in New York City when it opens in October. Located in the base of the supertall at 225 West 57th Street, known as the Central Park Tower, the 285,000-square-foot Nordstrom takes up seven floors of the building. As Eater NY first reported, the restaurants will be run by two chefs from Seattle: Ethan Stowell and Tom Douglas.
“We are incredibly excited to collaborate with culinary greats, Chefs Ethan Stowell and Tom Douglas, with the opening of our NYC flagship store,” Jamie Nordstrom, the president of stores at Nordstrom, said in a statement. “They are well-regarded for creating innovative menus and dining experiences, and we feel they’ll be a great complement to our already strong restaurant portfolio.”
Restaurants include Wolf, a rip of Stowell’s award-winning Italian restaurant How to Cook a Wolf in Seattle. Douglas will operate a pizza and pasta restaurant Jeannie’s and Hani Pacific, a Pacific Rim-inspired spot with caramelized coconut chicken and red chile pork ramen on the menu, according to Eater.
Cocktails and small plates will be offered at the store’s Broadway Bar on the second floor, another cocktail bar with an all-day menu called the Shoe Bar (located on the shoe floor of the store), and on the fifth floor, Bistro Verde will serve soups, salads, seafood, and more. The bistro will open an outdoor patio next year.
The Nordstrom flagship will open its doors on October 24.
